Following his business career, Raanan spent a decade working for an Israeli security organization, widely regarded as one of the best in the world. There, he regularly faced high-stakes situations involving significant uncertainty — experience that shapes how he thinks about risk, judgment, and decisions today.

Raanan is currently a PhD candidate at the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University, researching economic behavior and decision-making strategies — work that keeps his teaching and consulting grounded in current behavioral science, not just intuition.
Lecturer at Tel Aviv University
Alongside his research, Raanan teaches at Tel Aviv University's Coller School of Management, across both the undergraduate and MBA programs. His courses span two areas he lives daily: Business & Data Analytics — turning data into decisions using tools such as regression, classification, and predictive modeling — and Strategy, where students work through real strategic decision-making frameworks and case studies. Teaching keeps him close to the next generation of decision-makers, and constantly tests his own thinking against sharp, current questions.
Family, sport, and a home in the north
